Note: This feature is available only on the web version 💻

The advanced catalogue functionality allows you to add images to variants and other advanced fields such as SKU, weight, and inventory of each variant. You can also add HSN code and product-level taxes with the advance catalogue.

First, we need to enable the advanced catalogue.
In order to do this, go to the Store settings section in your Dukaan web dashboard.

Once inside your store settings, go to the Preferences section and turn the Advance catalogue toggle on by clicking on it.

Now, that the advance catalogue has been enabled, let's see the functionality it provides.

In order to do this, go to the Products section and click on Add new product.

Here's how the Quick navigation toolbar on the left-hand side looks when the advance catalogue toggle is off compared to when it is switched on.

As you can see, when the advance catalogue is turned on, there are two new sections - Shipping & Tax, and Variants. However, there is also additional functionality added in certain other sections.

Adding SKU's

SKU stands for stock keeping unit. It is a code number assigned to a single item of inventory and helps in inventory management.

For a product, if you have only 1 variant, you can add the SKU ID by going to the Inventory section. If you add more than 1 variant, you can add the SKU ID in the variants section below.

Shipping & Tax

Similarly, for a single variant, you can add the individual product weight and tax in the variants section. When you have more than one variant, you can add the individual product weights and Taxes in the variants section.

You can also add the HSN code of the product you are creating, along with the GST% (for Indian users) it falls under, here.

Variants

You can add variants to a product by clicking on the Add variants button.

You will see the following screen.

You can choose to edit 'Size' here by clicking on the Edit button.
For example, if you are selling mobile phones, you can add 'Storage'.

To better explain the variants section, let's take the example that you are selling a
Polo T-Shirt 👕.

Now, the T-Shirt is available in 3 sizes (Small, Medium and Large) and 3 colours (Red, Blue, and White).

To add these variants to your product, click on Add variants. You will now see the below screen.

You can upload a total of 8 product images for one product. Now, if you want to choose which image the customer will see on clicking that particular size/colour, you can set that by clicking the camera button next to the variant.

For example, to set the image being displayed by clicking the colour red:

Step 1: Click on the camera button next to the product variants with red on them

Step 2: Select the red polo T-shirt image and click Select.

Once variants are added and the images are selected, you can add other details such as price, discounted price (if any), SKU IDs, quantity (for inventory management ) and weight to each of the variants.

You can also choose to make a variant out of stock or delete it by clicking the 3 dots next to the particular variant.

Once done, click on the Update button at the bottom to add the product to your catalogue.
