If you have hundreds of products, adding them manually can be tedious. That’s why bulk add is here to the rescue. Now you can add details of multiple products, set prices, and upload them in one go.

Note: The bulk add feature is only available on desktops and laptops.

To bulk add products, go to Products and click on the Bulk add products button on the top right. You’ll see the below screen. In order to do a bulk add, first, you need to download the excel template. Click on the sample XLSX template to download the template.

Open the template once it’s downloaded. You’ll see different columns for which you have to fill in the details. Let’s understand what these columns mean.

• Product Title: Mention the name of the product here.

• Variant title: In this column, you can specify the variants of your product.

  • (Note: The name of the variant and the product need to be the same)

• Head Category: Enter the category to which your product belongs.
  For example: If you are selling an Iron man round neck T-shirt, it will belong to Head Category: Tshirts.

  • Note: If your product belongs to multiple categories, you’ll need to add comma separate values. For example: If the product is a Long Sleeve Round Neck Tshirt it can belong to 2 categories i.e round neck t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts

• Sub Category: Enter the sub-category of the product. If your product does not have any subcategories you can leave the field empty. For example: If you’re selling an Iron man round neck T-shirt, it will belong to Head Category: Tshirts, and sub-category: Round Neck Tshirt.

• Product Unit: Choose the appropriate unit for the product from the drop-down menu.

• Product Description: In this section, add details and information about the product. You can enter them as both text or as an HTML snippet.

  • For example:

    • Text Example:
      White T-shirt for Men Solid Regular length Round neck Short, regular sleeves Knitted cotton fabric.
      Size; Fit Regular Fit The model (height 6') is wearing a size M

    • HTML Example: <p>PRODUCT DETAILS White T-shirt for Men Solid Regular length Round neck Short, regular sleeves Knitted cotton fabric</p><p><b>Size; Fit Regular Fit The model (height 6') is wearing a size M</p>

• Variant1: In this category, you can specify the 1st variant of the product.

  • Note: The column needs to have the same type of variant throughout. For example: If Variant 1 for my product is the size, all of the variants following later need to be the size only

• Variant2: In this category, you can specify the 2nd variant of the product. The colors need to be entered only in the hex code.
  For example: If my product is turquoise blue, I’ll enter #30D5C8

  • (Note: The column needs to have the same type of variant for a particular product throughout. For example: If Variant 2 for my product is the color, all of the variants following later need to be the color only)

• Filters: There are 3 filter categories, wherein you can specify the filters you want for your products.

  • For example:

The above product will appear in filters cotton, Diwali, and traditional.

• Variant SKU ID: Enter the SKU Id of the variant of the product.

• Variant weight: Enter the weight of the variant of the product.

• Variant Final Selling Price: Enter the final selling price of the product.

• Variant Display Price: Enter the MRP of the product.

• Variant weight unit: Choose the appropriate weight unit for the product from the drop-down menu.

• Product GST/Tax Value ( Percentage): Add the tax percentage you will be charging for the product.

• EAN/HSN Code: Enter the EAN/HSN code of the product.

• SEO title: Enter an SEO-optimized meta title for your product.

• SEO description: Enter an SEO-optimized meta description for your product.

  • Note Entering data in the SEO categories will enable the SEO plugin and add the values accordingly

Once you have all the details, save the file. In the Bulk add products screen, click on Add file button to upload the file.

A dialog box will appear, here select the file which you just saved and click on the Upload button. Once the file is uploaded, you’ll see a preview of all the products that you’ll be adding. You can review the products you have uploaded and see if there are any errors.

After reviewing, click on Save and add products button at the bottom.

Your products will then be added to your Dukaan store.
